CTK Volunteers

At Christ The King Catholic School we firmly believe that what we are is God’s gift to us and what we become is our gift back to God. We all can certainly count our blessings whether they are spiritual or material possessions. All families are expected to volunteer at least 30 hours of volunteer service. Families receiving financial assistance are expected to volunteer more hours of service. In the spirit of stewardship we are called to share in the ministry of helping others and sharing our time, talents and treasures. CTK relies on the stewardship call of our parents and families. Families who are involved with the school in offering their time and talents reap many rewards. Helping our school to advance in opportunities for children or in financial rewards by assisting at Bingo sessions make a tremendously positive impact on the growth of the school. A Volunteer Binder is located in the Main Office for you to record your volunteer hours. All volunteer hours are expected to be completed by May 1st of the school year. Volunteer hours served after May 1st are recorded for the following year. You can receive your service hours and be a part of the great educational enterprise in helping children by assisting in the following areas at CTK:

Bingo Amy Kallenbach 625-4951	This is the greatest fundraiser for the school. Every family must dedicate 16 hours of the 30 required service hours in working at bingo sessions. This amounts to only 4 nights a year. The financial rewards from your gift of time enables the school to enhance educational opportunities for our children and to advance the building fund for the school.
PTO April Sherman 714-7264	Officers are elected to the Board by the PTO Association. The positions are: President, 1st Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian. PTO Board members assist the school in fundraising and special projects that advance the educational opportunities for student participation.
Standing Committee Chair. Melanie Houle 390-3383	Individuals assist the PTO in assuming leadership on the following committees: Clinic, Room Parent, Bingo, Cafeteria, Hospitality and Playground Coordinator.
School Advisory Board Laura Eizember 622-4888	Members share their time and talents in assisting the Pastor and Principal in a consultative manner in the following areas: Finances, Strategic Planning, Legislation Advocacy, Facility and Development/Marketing.
Playground Monitor Melanie Houle 390-3383	Members share their time and talents in assisting the Pastor and Principal in a consultative manner in the following areas: Finances, Strategic Planning, Legislation Advocacy, Facility and Development/Marketing.
Clinic Arline Bracken 625-4951	Service hours are received by staffing the school clinic during the day. Time Frame – 8:30 AM to Noon and Noon to 3:00PM
Room Parent Melanie Houle 390-3383	Service hours are received by assisting the teacher in classroom activities, such as assisting in class projects, making phone calls or coordinating class event
Cafeteria Linda Hopson 625-4951 x110	Service Hours are received in monitoring the children at lunch time in the cafeteria. Time Frame: From 11:00 AM to 12:55.
School Work Days & Landscaping Nancy Inman 627-2182	Service Hours are received on days throughout the year when parents and friends assist in cleaning, grounds keeping and improvements to the school.
Santa's Secret Shop Elizabeth Kukanich 625-1633	Volunteers receive service hours in setting up the program and in assisting children in shopping and wrapping purchases.
Development Amy Kallenbach 625-4951	Annual Auction, Annual Giving & Golf Tournament "Cougar Classic"Service Hours are given for planning, coordinating, mailing, collecting money, assisting with advertising, sharing marketing skills, etc
After School Clubs Rachael Chatham 625-4951	Service Hours are received in assisting with clubs after school, such as math, science, homework study, art, drama, choir, debating and peer mediation.
Technology Mary Owen 625-4951	Service Hours are received in sharing your expertise to advance the school’s direction in obtaining a state of the art facility.
CTK welcomes all parents to share their time and talents. Your expertise may not include some of the above categories.
