Families interested in learning more about Christ the King Catholic School can easily fill out our online inquiry form, which is promptly forwarded to the Admission Office. Upon receipt, our Enrollment Coordinator will reach out to provide families with further details and to schedule a convenient time for them to visit and tour our school campus. During the tour, families can explore our facilities, meet our faculty, and get a feel for the warm and nurturing environment we offer. How to Apply to Christ the King– Step 1

Begin the application process for the 2024–2025 school year by clicking on the button below and creating an account. Once you have created an account, you will be directed to the online application.  Submit the following items by uploading them online with the application or submitting them directly to the school office: 

  • Birth Certificate 
  • Baptismal Certificate, First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, etc., if applicable 
  • Recent Physical/Immunization Records
  • Most recent report card, 1st – 8th grade applicants 
  • Educational/Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation results, if applicable 
  • Custody/Court documents, if applicable 
  • Records Release Form

Attend the following upon request:

  • Interview with the Principal
  • Placement/Screening Test 
Enrollment Packet – Step 2

Admissions decisions will be made beginning in mid-March based on the above information. Qualified candidates are accepted at all grade levels where vacancies occur. Once your application has been accepted, please create your FACTS/SIS Parent Web account. Here, you will complete the enrollment packet and pay the registration fee of $250.00. 

Registration and Tuition Amounts

The business office must receive a $250 registration fee and a tuition contract to be considered for enrollment for the new school year.  Tuition rates are separated based on Catholic and Non-Catholic Rates. A student is considered Catholic if baptized in the Roman Catholic faith or registered at a local Catholic Church. New students requesting the Catholic rate require proof of baptism or evidence of membership in a Catholic Church.

Payment plans are based on the upcoming school year’s 12 months, July through June. Payment plans can run for 10 or 11 months if you opt for a more convenient plan for your family budget. Additional information is in the tuition schedule below, or you can contact the school office directly. 

Pay-In-Full Tuition Discounts

A 3% discount will be applied if you pay in full by August 1, 2024. This payment must be by cash, check, or money order.  No discount will apply if paid in full after August 1, 2024.

Pre-K Full Day students with siblings attending Christ the King may utilize the multiple-child discounted rates. 

Tuition Payments and Incidental Billing

Upon registration, you will complete a tuition contract. The contract must be returned with the registration paperwork and payment. Once the business office receives the tuition contractThe business office will enter all contracted tuition and fees into the FACTS payment plan, which will release a confirmation email to you. Additionally, your family is set up with a family account, allowing you to charge lunches, extended care, and other monthly incidentals. All tuition and incidental billing are through FACTS Tuition Management. Per diocesan policy, all tuition is set up through FACTS Tuition Management.

Tuition Assistance

Families must apply through FACTS Grant and Aid to be considered for tuition assistance. The application link is on the right of the FACTS Grant and Aid page. Below are links to information regarding the types of assistance and how to apply. FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment analyzes the financial need for the Diocese of Richmond. Families must have an established need to qualify for financial aid. This application must be completed with ALL pertinent supporting documents by March 1 for round one consideration and by June 1st for the second round.

Types of Financial Aid

Financial Aid options, eligibility, and qualifications are listed below. Please note that the types of assistance may vary yearly because of funding. It is important to note that financial aid is only offered to those applying for assistance through FACTS Grant and Aid. 

The following are the tuition assistance options for the 2024 – 2025 school year: 

McMahon Parater Foundation for Education

Available to children registered for KG- 8th grade and Catholic and non-Catholic students. McMahon Parater Foundation for Education was created in 2008 by Bishop DiLorenzo to secure the future of Catholic schools by making them more affordable through financial aid for those students who seek a Catholic education by attending diocesan, parish, regional, and independent Catholic schools within the Diocese of Richmond. 

Eligibility:

  1. Student’s enrollment application or re-registration form MUST have been submitted to the school.
  2. Both Catholic and Non-Catholic students are eligible for scholarship consideration.

Qualification:

  1. Determined at the diocesan level based on information submitted to FACTS Grant and Aid.
Catholic Diocese Parish Sharing Award

The parishes within the Diocese of Richmond contribute to Catholic education through a parish assessment. These funds are available to children from Kindergarten – 8th Grade and contribute to making Catholic education more affordable. 

Eligibility:

  1. Student’s enrollment application or re-registration form MUST have been submitted to the school.   
  2. Students baptized Roman Catholic are eligible for consideration for this assistance. A Baptismal Certificate must be on file in the school office. 

Qualification:

  1. Determined at the diocesan level based on information submitted to FACTS Grant and Aid. 

Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits (EISTC):

  • Both Catholic and non-Catholic registered students are eligible for this scholarship. To be eligible, families’ annual household income must be less than 300% of the current poverty guideline (or 400% for children receiving support services or with a disability). Recipients must also meet the following criteria: registered to enter PK-4,  KG, or 1st grade, OR attended a Virginia Public School for at least half of the current or prior school year, OR were not Virginia residents the preceding school or were prior recipients of an EISTC Scholarship.

Barry Robinson Foundation Scholarships

Also Available to children registered for KG to 8th grade who have been baptized Roman Catholic and are registered in a Diocese of Richmond Catholic Parish. The amount of tuition assistance is determined by the student’s calculated need.
